The Big Storm
This last week in general was not ideal. I was initially really excited about the upcoming snowstorm but by the time it arrived, it created a lot more problems than fun. I was planning on doing a lot of work for all my classes last week to get ahead since I have the Boys State swim meet this weekend so I knew I wouldn't be able to get much done. The power outages really put a wrench in those plans and I ended up getting almost nothing done. I had lost power Monday night and didn't fully get it back until Friday morning, so I'm behind on an assessment but thankfully Coach Goff extended the due date to this week so now I will need to complete two before this Friday. I was originally planning on doing a breakdown of bill formats on a bill my mentor had worked on in the past but over last week I was able to look a little into the "For the People Act" which works to permanently restrict gerrymandering tactics in redistricting so, I will probably look more into that and do one of my assessments over the background and implications of that bill. I am also hoping to be able to meet with Mr. Lee this week so that I can complete a mentor visit assessment as my second assessment for this week. Hopefully this week will be a little better than the last.
